Grapes – Black Albany Surprise and White Almeria
Albany Surprise Grapes are juicy black organic table grapes. These are sweet natural seeded grapes and with an aromatic flavour, often described as “labrusca-flavoured”. This species is a near relative of the American “Isabella” and is often aliased with a group of species numbering around 50 with names including: Alexander, Black Cape, Borgoña, Champania, Constantia, Dorchester, Fragola, Framboisier, Isabelle, Izabella, Odessa, Raisin De Cassis, Moschostaphylo, Kerkyraios,Tudum and Tzortzidika.
White Almeria Grapes are a sweet white table grape highly acclaimed across the world. They originated in Spain and have been cultivated from Greco-Roman times.White Almeria Grapes and Albany Surprise/Concord are the two varieties grown at Daywen Vinyard.
