Grape Seeds and Cancer
Preliminary clinical studies have shown a potential anti-cancer effect from grape seed extract use.
This is something to bear in mind, so that grape seeds should not be seen as totally unnecessary.
However, before embarking on any treatment programmes for the disease it is recommended as essential to first consult with a registered medical practitioner or specialist, perhaps one who recognizes natural healing.
The primary remedy for prevention of lifestyle diseases is always healthy living which includes good nutrition. However, once a suspected disease has taken hold it makes good sense to have a professional diagnosis and to discuss remedies and treatment programmes with suitably trained and qualified specialists.
Resveratrol and Heart Disease
Resveratrol is a compound found in the skins of red to black coloured grapes. It has been shown to be a prevention factor in relation to heart disease. There are several causes of heart disease and these may outweigh any benefits gained from any intake of resveratrol in the diet. For example, if one was a heavy drinker and smoker, the resveratrol could do very little to help. However, drinking a couple of glasses of still grape juice every day should do more good than harm to one’s health.
